Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data Omanzil ("Omanzil", "we") collects when you use omanzil.com, book a call at book.omanzil.com or message us, and how we use it. It follows Oman's Personal Data Protection Law and, for visitors from the United Kingdom and Europe, the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR.
What we collect
- This website: we set no cookies and use no advertising trackers. Our hosting provider records the usual technical data (your IP address, the pages you open, your browser) to serve the pages and to keep them safe; we see only aggregated counts.
- Booking a call: your name, email address, phone number, the time you chose, your time zone and language, the page you came from, and anything you write in the booking form. We use them to hold the call and to prepare for it.
- Leaving your number on this website: your phone number, its country, whether you prefer WhatsApp or a call, the choices you made (home type, budget), the page you were on and your time zone. We use them to contact you about your enquiry, and nothing else.
- WhatsApp and email: what you send us, your number or address, and the page you wrote from.
Why, and on what basis
To answer you, to hold the call you booked and to follow up on it (the steps needed before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us). We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing you have not asked for.
Who else sees it
Google (calendar invitations and Google Meet), WhatsApp (messages), and the service that runs our customer records. Each is bound by its own privacy terms. Developers receive your details only when you ask us to reserve a home.
How long
Enquiries and bookings for as long as we work together and for three years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use or ask for a copy. Write to privacy@omanzil.com. UK and EU residents may also complain to their data protection authority.
